Victoria World Naked Bike Ride
The World Naked Bike Ride is an annual, worldwide bike ride that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere and decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport. It’s also a lot of fun and it’s free for all!
**NOTE: Complete nudity is not a requirement to ride – all are encouraged to be as naked as they are comfortable with! GET CREATIVE!**
Come join the annual World Naked Bike Ride in Victoria where we face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the best way of defending our dignity and exposing the unique dangers faced by cyclists and pedestrians as well as the negative consequences we all face due to dependence on oil, and other forms of non-renewable energy.
What to wear? Do not fear!! The World Naked Bike Ride dress code is “Bare as you Dare”…
How bare is that?… It’s all up to you, you decide what you are comfortable with. No one is excluded or discriminated against based on levels of clothing, body paint, or anything else for that matter!
Be creative and colourful in expressing yourself!! Body painting, bike decorations, custom themes, and others creative expression is strongly encouraged!!
+ All are welcome!! From the shy to the bold. Cyclists, rollerbladers, rollerskaters, skateboarders. All ages, sizes and colors welcome. Bring your family and your co-workers!
+ Engage the public!! We paint our bodies and decorate our bikes with political messages or beautiful designs to compliment our forms.

– Prepare for riding rain or shine!
– If it’s sunny, put on sunscreen!
– You do not have to be naked to join the ride.
– Wear shoes!
– If you’re shy, we start the ride with some clothing on, than stop away from the crowds to get more bare!
– Keep your clothes with you — you never know when you may need them (like… after the ride).
– Decorate your bike! Come with signs and funky hats!
– Cover your bike seat with fun fur!
– Ride safely and stay together as a group!
We will meet in front of the legislative building in midJuly. The riders will leave and make their way up Government street and through downtown Victoria.
Don’t be late… If you are going to be naked, it is best to ride in company. This is one time you probably don’t want to be the one left behind….
